Front Porch Holiday Sessions // Family

Families at their front doors and in their yards on Christmas morning. What I thought would just be some quick family sessions turned into a wonderful Christmas. My morning was spent dropping by a large handful of homes to capture quality family time, and I haven’t smiled or laughed that much in that short amount of time in all of 2020. I had the privilege to meet so many new people and to visit with friends and a sprinkling of family. A few particularly special moments that stood out were:

  • Seeing sweet baby Blair discover and play in the snow

  • Spending time with familiar faces with the Toppen Family

  • Surprising my dear friend, Hannah, and her mom with a quick visit. (Usually I attend a favorite Christmas Party here every year so it was so good to visit.)

  • Getting to meet sweet baby Iris and chat with Ari about dinosaurs, though last time I saw him he loved his dump truck

  • Laughing with the entire Kemperman family as we poked fun at each other

  • Seeing Maureen for the first time in a couple of years, and toasting to our single life and spending Christmas with our parents — also learning where Maureen gets her outgoing personality and carefree spirit (her mom)

  • Popping by to see family in their pajamas. Frank, Maggie, and Tessa crack me up with their diverse personalities and I love that I can claim them as family

  • Running through the snow with the Rasmussen family and also learning that my friend, Carly, gets her spirit from her mother (also look at sweet Ivy, she’s so precious)

Thank you to all of the families who participated together you raised over $1,000 to the Howard Brown Health Center. It meant so much to me that you took time out of your holiday to come together for portraits that I hope are used for telling stories and sharing memories in the future.
