mini sessions

I can only note that the past is beautiful because one never realises an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don’t have complete emotions about the present, only about the past.
— Virginia Woolf

Your ordinary is not boring

Imagine having stacks of albums filled with images of your grandparents everyday life; washing dishes, reading a book, paying the bills, hosting the family for a birthday party. So much changes in people’s lives in such a short period of time, a photograph can take time and freeze it to share with loved ones down the line.

So I am here to propose an idea. What if you let someone into your home to photograph your ordinary? Leave the kitchen counter piled high with junk mail, don’t curl your hair for me, and wear those pants with the gravy stain.

It’s my Spring goal to capture these ordinary moments so that down the line you can share what these small tidbits of your day looked like with loved ones.

I am offering to step into your home, on your front lawn, or at your favorite spot for about an hour of time to photograph you with the people you love - doing ordinary things; sidewalk chalk, making dinner, changing over the laundry, watering the plants, reading a bedtime story, or even just going for a walk.

Take a minute to think about what you want remembered down the road. I can’t wait to hear why these tiny moments are important to you.

These sessions will run about 30 minutes and the cost is $200. In exchange you’ll receive 30+ images on a digital gallery where you’ll be able to download and share the photographs with friends and family.
